Kaun — Meal Planner & Recipes

Kaun ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

We collect only what is necessary to provide the app's features:

• Display name — an optional name you choose, stored locally on your device. It is never sent to our servers.
• Anonymous device ID — a randomly generated ID stored locally on your device. This is not linked to your identity and is never sent to our servers.
• User-generated content — recipes, meal plans, and grocery lists you create in the app. This data is stored locally on your device.
• Shared content — when you choose to share a recipe or grocery list, the content and any attached image are temporarily stored on our servers to generate a shareable link.

We do not collect your email address, payment information, location data, or any other sensitive personal information.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To store your recipes, meal plans, and grocery lists locally on your device.
• To generate shareable links when you choose to share content with others.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Data Storage

All your recipes, meal plans, and grocery lists are stored locally on your device — Kaun works fully offline. When you choose to share a recipe or grocery list, the shared data is stored on our servers (via Supabase) solely to power the share link. We do not access or use this content for any other purpose.

4. Third-Party Services

Kaun uses the following third-party service:

• Supabase — used to store shared content and images when you choose to share via link (privacy policy).

5. Data Retention

Data on your device is retained until you uninstall the app or clear its data. Shared content stored on our servers is temporary and may expire or be deleted after the share link is no longer needed. You may request deletion of any shared content by contacting us.

6. Children's Privacy

Kaun is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction or deletion of your data.
• Object to or restrict processing of your data.
