Do I need an account to use Kaun?

No. Kaun works without sign-up, email, or password. Download the app and start planning immediately.

How do I create my first meal plan?

Open the Meal plan tab, tap + Add meal on any day, choose a recipe and meal time, then repeat for a few meals. Generate a grocery list when ready.

Can I skip onboarding?

Yes. Tap Skip anytime during first-launch onboarding. You can set household size and preferences later in Settings.

How long does it take to plan a week?

Most people plan 3–5 dinners in a few minutes. Use Auto Plan Week to fill empty slots even faster.

How do I save a recipe?

Like recipes with the heart icon, tap Add recipe to create your own, or Import recipe to paste a URL.

Open the recipe, tap the menu (⋯), and choose Delete Recipe. This removes it from My Recipes.

Catalog recipes live in Explore until you favorite them. Favorites stay in the Favorites tab.

Duplicates meals from one day to other days. Choose merge, append, or replace when copying.

How are grocery lists generated?

Kaun merges ingredients from your meal plan (or a single recipe), groups by category, and respects servings.

How do I import a shared recipe?

Open the link on your phone. Kaun shows a preview — tap Import. Choose keep, import as new, or overwrite if duplicate.

Do share links expire?

Yes. Shared links may expire after a period of time. Ask the sender to share again if needed.

Does sharing work offline?

No. Creating and opening share links requires an internet connection.

Does Kaun work offline?

Yes. Browse recipes, plan meals, use grocery lists, and cook mode work without internet. Import and sharing need a connection.

Where is my data stored?

On your device. Shared links temporarily store a copy on our servers only to power the link.

How do I delete all my Kaun data?

Delete the Kaun app from your device. Contact support to remove hosted share links.
